Our family loves Tualatin Valley Preschool. My son has attended for the past 2 years and we both enjoy how parent involvement is a big part of the program. My son loves when I help in the classroom twice a month and I love knowing that the I really a voice in the all aspects of the school. The teachers truly care about each student as individuals and build a sense of community within the classroom. TVP has offered a very positive introduction to my sons school career. He knows that I am involved in his education and care about all that goes on in his school. We couldn't have asked for a better preschool experience.
My son is in his second year at TVP and we love it! The teachers, Wendy & Raechel, are wonderful and the kid's love them. All the students have fun while working on kindergarten readiness skills like listening, independence, and basic letter and number knowledge. The school is a co-op, which means that parents are required to be a part of the school by helping out in the classroom occasionally and having a support job (anything from washing towels to being president, and everything in between). I love that I get to be a part of my son's education and the sense of community we get by being a part of this school.
This school is a co-op, meaning that parent help and involvement is required--and I think it's the best part of the school. My daughter has made many friends, has a great time at school, the teachers are amazing, and it has also been a great resource for me as a parent. I love that it is developmentally based on learning through play and recommend TVP highly!
My four-year-old son loves TVP and tells me daily about all the great play and fun activities. The teachers do a great job of balancing child-lead freeplay and teacher-lead individual and group activities. I love volunteering in the classroom and getting to know my son's playmates and share in these special experiences.
