Discovery Oaks is a terrific school. Growing up in Loudoun, my siblings and I went to Discovery Oaks (then called Blake) for day care. Years later, my niece and nephew went there and are doing extremely well in public school. Now, 2 of my sons have gone to Discovery Oaks, 1 is now excelling at 2nd grade at another school. This 1 story school has a very small-town feel, and was recently remodeled. They have 5 acres, despite being situated in a residential community, which means their playground has some woods, as well as wide open play areas, and a fence encloses the play areas for privacy from neighbors. They are right off Route 28 which is convenient. We commute about a 1/2 hour to come to Discovery Oaks each day. The teachers are very patient, and extremely creative. My kids love the summer program as well.

No... thank goodness. Not everything in life is a lesson. Relaxation is an art that should be practiced more. Sometimes its ok to just "play".

Each toy DOES teach something, but it is up to the adult to make it interesting by being encouraging and specific.
