Angelina's Preschool is perhaps one of the best pre-k pre-schools in the city. As someone who sits on educational boards and councils, there is nothing more important than a great curriculum supported by warm, caring and dedicated staff. Angelina's Pre-school is where I sent both of our boys who are now 7 and 11. They continue to remember the 'good old days' and are still in touch with their classmates. Angelina's Pre-School was a wonderful asset to my wife and I who work full time ... Angelina and Vivi are absolutely a second family to us.
If you're looking for a school that genuinely cares about your family and your child (outside of the dollars you're spending), do not bother. The owner is cash hungry, will cut corners and charge you dearly for being even a few minutes late. There are inexperienced helpers who are not allowed to speak to the parents about your children. Your daily questions will be redirected to the owner who is never there early or late when parents pick up and drop off. There are also 40 days off during the year. This includes long spring, summer and winter breaks in addition to acknowledging every Jewish Holiday and the Sabbath (early Friday pick up) for several months out of the year. Yes, you still pay full rate for 40 days off during the year. Also, if your child is coughing or sneezing, don't bother. They will immediately call and send your child home at the first sign of a cold. My daughters were NOT happy here. They came home daily complaining about other children being judgemental and exclusionary. I expected this to be managed better. But there are much, much better options for a lot less and with more communicative support for hard-working parents and better curriculum.
My sons attended Angelina's Schools. They started in the day care and graduated from the pre-school. The schools have a great thing going -- my kids grew tremendously under Angelina and Vivianne -- they have been doing this for over 30 years. They are warm and knew my kids like a parent knows their child. My children were more than ready; they wrote, read and had a great transition into Kindergarden. I recommend this school highly.
one of the best pre-schools in san francisco. they have a pre-k program with art, music, science and so much more. i highly recommend this school. 18 kids and the community of parents is warm and caring.
