My daughter attended this school for a year prior to kindergarten and it was the best experience! We are now sending our second child here then after that will send our third. We could not imagine going anywhere else!!! Every day is a new adventure and due to the 5 parents and 1 teacher that work with the kids at all times(that is a lot of man power for 18-20 kids) the activities the teachers are able to do with the kids is amazing! It is developmental in the truest sense so if you want your child to learn by touching it, tasting it, feeling it, hearing it, and smelling it....this is your school. The two teachers are phenomenal and the whole school is more of a family and very much a community working together. I will say that it is "parent participation" so it is for a parent who wants to experience the preschool years with their children not drop them and catch a break (you are there 1 out of every 3-4 times they attend to help). Serra will forever hold a piece of my heart and my only sadness is that they do not offer a program for my whole child's school career.
Let me warn you .....if you want to drop your child off and go this school is not for you.It involves your time, involvement, and energy, but if that i your cup of tea ( like it is mine) then this school is for you. My son had the time of his life there this past year. You can feel how much time and energy the staffs pours into the place, and the children just flourish..simply flourish, I would do it again in a heart beat, but be sure to understand the requirements before you commit.
Serra Preschool absolutely rocks! I have a masters in early childhood education, and I can say without a doubt that the curriculum and opportunities that this school provides are top notch. The staff is extremely talented! I would recommend this school to anyone!
I can't believe someone would call this school a waste of time. If you want your children to learn socialization, creativity, and to really love learning this is the school for you. We are so happy at Serra. The parents are the nicest people you will ever meet, it is very organized..my daughter begs to go everyday.
