I don't know what is going on with the higher ups at the JCC but something is very wrong because teachers are fleeing the school! The school does not have a director and they have actually had several directors over the last few years. Why don't the directors stay? Why are good teachers leaving? As a parent, I don't know what kind of early education my children are receiving especially since the administration can't even keep good teachers and parents don't have a director to talk to! This is scary. Avoid this school!
The JCC ECC is amazing. I went online to share what a fantastic school I think this is and I was absolutely dismayed to read the previous post about the school and its administrators. As a parent whose first child graduated two years ago and a current parent of a three year old, I can't imagine, based on our own phenomenal experience, why someone could write something so nasty about such a great community school. We are not Jewish but chose the school based on the consistently positive word of mouth from friends and neighbors whose children have gone there. I am pleased to say that we have found the teachers to be excellent, the curriculum to be very focussed on the needs of children and the community warm and embracing. We actually had many interactions with the school administration and its supervisor, the JCC assistant executive director, because of our child's unique situation and I found all of them to be responsive, caring and dedicated to the school's families. I hope anyone reading these posts will trust the honest opinion of those of us who know what a superior school this is. The Denver community is lucky to have such a fabulous early childhood center at the JCC.
Our child has been in this school for the past 3 years and has had an amazing experience! With wonderful, educated teachers who have individualized our child s learning. We have been there though all the director changes and some teacher s changes and have felt that everything was communicated effectively and most importantly during this time our child kept on learning and enjoying school. As a parent I could always talk to someone on the ECC Administration to answer my questions. The ECC has always been supportive to my family and most importantly has given my child an educational environment to learn in. We love the JCC ECC including all of the teachers and the Administration Team.
This school is great!! My son loves it here. He never wants to leave when I come to pick him up. The teachers are wonderful. I was actually referred to the ECC by one of my friends when I moved to Denver. She was also referred by her sister. There is also a few moms in my son's class who were also referred to the ECC, so it seems like they have a strong positive affect on families that attend the ECC.
