The EXCEL school house is a diamond in the rough - If you are looking for individual preparatory education on a pre-school, elementary level this is the school. I was overwhelmed with the curriculum and attention to detail making sure each child learns above and beyond the state requirements. There are so many activities and experiments afforded to the children everyday. Copies of this is posted daily for parents to review the course study for the week and practice with your child at home. The facility is ALWAYS clean and warm like it is when you visit your favorite friend or family member. The director, Debra Brand, is PHENOMENAL! You can tell that it is her ministry to change children's lives for the better not just a career choice. Her qualifications speak for themselves and the state inspection ratings are Excellent in ALL categories. (They are also proudly posted for parents to review.) I am so blessed to have found such a wonderful learning environment for my child and am telling everyone to get on the waiting list if you aren't already. You will be glad you did! EXCEL school rocks - words of my 3 year old!!! Sincerely, Proud Mom, Nicole

I spent months searching for the best school for my son to attend when I moved new to the area. I called EXCEL school and met with the director Debra Brand. I was so impressed with the variety and available materials for the students. I checked and verified the credentials of the director and staff to be accurate and also the state ratings had the best possible scores in all sections. I am comfortable dropping my son off at school each day and he tells everyone how much he loves school. Thank you EXCEL for making this transition an easy one for my family. If you have a preschooler or elementary student I would definitely check out EXCEL Schoolhouse. Kene ~

I am a volunteer at the EXCEL SCHOOLHOUSE and I love it. My daughter is pregnant and i encourage her daily to enroll my new grand child as soon as the time comes. I have never had so much fun volunteering and working with the staff. Director Mrs. Brand is great and a joy to work with. The attention and love she shows the children is uncanny. Best volunteer program I have worked for and one of the best schools geared to child development I have seen i ages. Becky Saunders

I make a list of items to discuss ahead of time. Then after the conference, I keep in touch. This also depends on how far into the year the conferences are.

First understand that teachers / schools make big deals over EVERYTHING. Second, no one knows your child better than you. Third, keep a frequent line of communication open with the teacher and conferences are just a recap... no surprises.
