My daughter loved Grandview. Don't expect a whole lot of academics here. There's plenty of time for that in elementary school. What they get is time to socialize and learn to be independent and independent thinkers. The director, Ms. Betty, is fantastic! The playground is so much fun! But don't expect fancy equipment. Most of it has been built by them. I know a lot of people who have sent their children to Grandview and they've all loved it. I even know some who are now in college and still have fond memories of their time at Grandview. Please make sure to visit this school.
This is a stellar preschool for 2's, 3's, 4's, and 5's. My daughter is in her 3rd year attending, and it has been the best experience for both her and us as parents. The staff and teachers are caring and professional, and my daughter's teacher personally guided us through some very challenging times. The play ground is to die for- it truly is. This is a gem of our neighborhood- do not pass it up.
I wish I could give this school more than 5 stars! I absolutely can't say enough good things about it. When we went to tour the school for the first time, we were met by a chicken and a bunny. I knew that we had found THE school of our dreams. It feels like something right out of the 1950's! If you want your child drilled on the alphabet and numbers for hours on end, then this is not the place for you. If, however, you believe that play based learning is the way to a child's mind, then enroll here. My son has been here for 6 months, and has learned so much more than I could have ever taught him. I wish I could write an essay on how incredible Grandview is, but it would take up too many pages! This is the greatest school in the valley!
This school was recommended to us by our neighbors who all sent their children there. We are so thrilled that both our sons were able to attend Grandview. Our youngest just finished summer school there which sadly means it's the end of an era for us! Miss. Susan's class is a fantastic environment for 3/4 year olds. They learn so much from her while having so much fun they don't want to leave! Mrs. Mancuso's class is also amazing and a perfect transition and preparation for Kindergarten. The teachers at our elementary school always love to get Grandview kids because they are very well prepared socially and are ready to learn. We highly recommend Grandview to anyone as a wonderful safe environment for their kids and we will miss it so much!!
