Parents are the key to the success of this program which has been operating in the East Bay area for 60 years. Parents attend weekly Adult Education classes (sponsored by the WCCUSD) and work in the classroom one day a week. With their children they learn safety, good nutrition, creative process, language acquisition and fluency as they build a community of trust. Parent leaders serve on the board and gain proficiency in operating a business, planning events and excursions, fundraising as well as parenting skills. The parents, children and teacher all learn together in this environment of caring and sharing.
