My child is in the Monkey class as well, we have NEVER had a problem with the teachers or the school. The teachers are friendly and very welcoming. When my child has has gotten in trouble at school I feel the consequences are fair and and I've never felt like it was a problem. My child loves his school and teachers! I would never take my child to any other school.
Both my children attended this school and were more than ready academically to enter kindergarten and still excel today. I credit this to the strong academics and dedicated teachers. IF you want your child to get a jump start before entering public or private school I highly recommend NLCCS.
We have had a rough year in the monkeys class. The lead teacher is not that friendly and either likes your child or doesn't. She isn't really welcoming to the children, which can create some conflicts. They don't allow children to eat any "extras" that you pack for lunch unless they've eaten all of their "growing foods". As a parent, I believe that a child should be able to eat whatever is packed for them, not the discretion of the teachers.
NLCCS is incredible. I have two children who attend the school and both are in extended care as well. My son has been at the school since they opened their nursery room (he's 3 now) and now my daughter (2 months old) is there as well. I wouldn't trust leaving my kids anywhere else. The teachers genuinely care for the students. The staff even cares about the families. It is a Christian ministry and they work very hard to be salt and light. Not just through Bible stories, but through serving families who have real, material needs. They put their money where their mouth is when it comes to Christian values. The education offered is stellar as well. My son has a lot of skills that I didn't realize a child his age would be capable of doing. The facility isn't the shiniest or newest out there, but it is clean, well cared for, full of toys and books, and the playgrounds are beautiful. NLCCS is a high quality school at a very competitive price. If you are looking for a school, check out New Life.
