My child has attended Carousel Academy for over 6yrs. now. I am as pleased with the care my child receives today as i have ever been. Carousel has a warm, caring, christian environment. My child continues to be challenged and stimulated through play and learning activities on a daily basis. The owners and directors are always open to the needs and concerns of both parents and staff, and they play a very active role at center. I highly recommend this center for children of any age.
In September 2009, Carousel was a highly regarded and professional place for your children to stay; however, within the past 2 years, the daycare has drastically declined in professionalism as well as a structured environment for your children. Most of the teachers are recently high school graduates and newly college students that do not know how to discipline children. The director and owner shy's away from conflicts and criticism from parents as well as staff. The facility does not want to deal with behavioral and/or medically challenged children per the director's quotes; therefore, I would strongly suggest not sending your children to this daycare.
This is an excellent day care facility. The owners are a mother/daughter team and are very dedicated to the children they care for. My children have attended this facility for almost 7 years. We tried several places within a year before we decided Carousel is where we would stay. The owners believe in staying up to date on the new standards. They also believe in keeping the classroom size below what the state deems the minimum number. My children love the attention that they receive from the teachers. These teachers are truly dedicated to the children and helping guide them in their learning process. The Pre-K program is phenomenal. When each of my children started Kindergarten their teachers remarked about how well prepared Carousel kids are. The Pre-K program offers the children the same setting and program as a Kindergarten class. I would highly recommend Carousel Academy to anyone.
