As a parent of three and former Reading Specialist, I can t say enough good things about Rainbow Connection Preschool! My kids have absolutely loved their experience there. The environment is warm and inviting and the teachers are qualified and nurturing. Although kindergarten preparation is a priority, they really focus on the development of the whole child through exciting, developmentally appropriate activities. I specifically sought out a preschool with their philosophy of early childhood education and I have not been disappointed. My kids have grown so much through Rainbow Connection s creative, hands-on curriculum. We couldn t be happier!

My children have been going to Rainbow Connection for 10 years (I have 4 children ages 12-4). I am in my last year and can not say enough about the school. The teachers and staff provide a safe Christian environment while teaching children the basics and preparing them for kindergarten. Most of the staff has been there since I started 10 yrs ago, either as a teacher, aide or even a parent. They are dedicated to the children and can accommodate special needs children as well. I highly recommend Rainbow Connection, and am sad my time there is almost over.

Our son went to Rainbow Connection Preschool for 2 years before kindergarten and it was a great environment for learning and socializing from a stay-at-home child to a full-time kindergartner. The preschool is NAEYC certified and most techers hold a masters in education. Many have been with Rainbow Connection for over 10+ years. The preschool has a flexible schedule for 1/2 day programs with several choices of days. The low student-teacher ratio means the class size is small and a lot of attention is provided for each child. After moving to Richardson area, we had our son in another pre-school which promised a caring, learning environment, but it was essentially daycare, dressed up to attract parents. Rainbow Connection is the real deal and we were very pleased with how prepared our son was academically and emotionally for starting kindergarten this year.

I make a list of items to discuss ahead of time. Then after the conference, I keep in touch. This also depends on how far into the year the conferences are.

First understand that teachers / schools make big deals over EVERYTHING. Second, no one knows your child better than you. Third, keep a frequent line of communication open with the teacher and conferences are just a recap... no surprises.
