The teachers are loving and friendly, the students are bright and well-mannered, and the administration is professional and effective. I love this school for my son. I have checked out and interviewed about 10 preschools in my area and even tried one of them (which was a large Christian school that totally did not work out in the end), but I felt Monarch was the best. A few people also recommended Monarch to me in the last couple of years. I wish I had known earlier for my older son who could have benefited from learning at this school. My second son is now at Monarch and has flourished intellectually and behaviorally. Most importantly, he is safe and happy, and that makes me a happy parent, too.

Their academic program is better compared to the other k schools I personally observed. The teacher for the academic class listens to the parents suggestions/criticisms and she tries her best to cater the curriculum to the child's ability. In terms of music, they do some singing but that's about it.Arts,is very minimal.Sports is non-existent but they can probably arrange a ballgame among the kids,or more outdoor activities, although they have this stretching exercises for the kids before the start of the children's 'jobs'.

I make a list of items to discuss ahead of time. Then after the conference, I keep in touch. This also depends on how far into the year the conferences are.

First understand that teachers / schools make big deals over EVERYTHING. Second, no one knows your child better than you. Third, keep a frequent line of communication open with the teacher and conferences are just a recap... no surprises.
