I have four children that I've happily entrusted to YGC. Our three oldest children began as toddlers and continued through Elementary School. They all loved going to daycare, had wonderful stories to tell and developed long-lasting affection for their teachers and the staff. The curriculum is appropriate and they allow the teachers to modify it to suit their strengths while still covering all the core concepts. Our youngest started at nine months and is currently enrolled. She continues to receive loving care and support from teachers who are genuinely interested in her and her development. She still invites one of her previous teachers to her birthday party each year. I have never known the facility to be filthy, in fact, for the number of children doing projects and playing together, I find it to be clean. The only times I've seen children running wild are on the playground where I fully expect them to be moving about loudly and happily.

I have 4 grandchildren that have been cared for at this facility since birth. My twin grandsons are now 7 years old. It is a clean and SAFE facility. There is a nice enclosed playground with age-appropriate play areas and toys. The teachers are very caring. The pre-school teachers definitely prepare kids to be successful in kindergarten. The after-school kids have designated times for reading and doing their homework. Their summer programs are filled with field trips too! My grandchildren love it here. When I've gone to pick them up, I've always been impressed. I've enjoyed their Christmas programs and Pre-K graduations too.

I went on a tour of this school. It was filthy, it stunk and the children were running wild. The employees there seemed very unprofessional, they were dressed more like they should have been working in a bar.. I had heard it was a very rough and yucky place, now I know for myself.

I make a list of items to discuss ahead of time. Then after the conference, I keep in touch. This also depends on how far into the year the conferences are.

First understand that teachers / schools make big deals over EVERYTHING. Second, no one knows your child better than you. Third, keep a frequent line of communication open with the teacher and conferences are just a recap... no surprises.
