I first have my kid on the waiting list 2 years back. But I was told a new director in town. I had to re-apply. So I did, paied deposit. I was also told I needed background check. So I gave them everything asked for. I called the daycare every other two weeks for the first month ,and more than 10 times for the last month to ask for the updates, I left my phone number. The director was never avaliable and called me back. Finally I deceided to stop by and check out what's going on. It was bomber. I was told " the two IDs (passport and driver's license) are not matching. My background check did not pass. Well, I provided two IDs for my green card application. They worked just fine. She also said she tried to called my cell and workphone, they all went to weird voicemail, which I never received any. I asked what phone numbers you called. She said whatever on the paperwork. I asked if I can see it, than I was told it was destoried by rules. I happen to have a copy, it clear has my cell and work phone numbers on it as print. I asked is there a number or a person I can call or talk to. She said no.I heard the bad storied about the datcare before. I now believe them.

I feel like Future Steps received an unfair rating. I had my two children in an in-home daycare prior to this where the TV was on all day and there was very little in terms of education. I switched my kids and have been very pleased with the care they received. My younger son has severe asthma, and the staff has been wonderful on providing care for him and informing me of how he is doing. They are both learning a lot, and the curriculum they provide is outstanding. My older son went from just drawing scribbles to actually learning how to write his name! The only thing I feel negative about is that there seems to be quite a bit of teacher turnover, but I think you'd find that in most daycares. I would definitely recommend!

This school is amazing. My older child has attended for the last 3 years and my youngest for two. The teachers are attentive and knowledgeable. It is part of a nationally accredited Easter Seals program. My youngest has a physical disability. They have always done everything he needs without question. I would recommend this to anyone. It is pricey, but it is well worth it.

I would suggest that you look in to other options. Occasionally I would ask the lead teacher to perform specific tasks- please apply diaper rash cream b/c he has diaper rash, please feed him at 11:30 because I will be picking him up at noon, please call me if he refuses to eat, etc... Each time, these requests went undone and when asked why, she would do one of two things 1. blame it on someone who was out that day OR 2. deny that the request was ever made and call it a miscommunication. Then she would try to change the subject by telling me one of her 'poor me' stories. Eventually, this unprofessional and strange behavior caused us to remove our son from this daycare.
