I love this preschool! I have a 4 yr old in the MWF program and a 2 yr old in the mom's day out program. It's a wonderful environment. It is a true preschool and not a day care. The teachers only work half days (school is closed by 130pm), which in my opinion keeps them fresh and energized. They do many cool activities throughout the year, ie science demos, animals, hatch chicks, etc. They are all very kind and really work to form a bond with your child. I highly recommend this preschool!
Both of children went to this school from, MDO to "pre"-K. The pre-K curriculum is better than a number of local kindergartens. My children are now well into their elementary school years and I have yet to find a school, teacher, or curriculum that holds a candle to Mt Olive and it's faculty & staff. It was like an extension of our home.
I've sent both of my kids here. The teachers are youg and energentic. I love the director, she LOVES and knows each one of the students there. I am not Lutheran, but I love that they emphasis Christ like principles in theri weekly chapel time. Simple things like kindness and forgivenss go a long way in life. They are also a great academic school. They really prepare the kids to enter kindergarten which is very demanding in this particular school district. Again the staff here is great. My kids love/loved their teachers there. It's truely a home away from home.
I've been very pleased with this preschool. The campus is beautiful and safe. A few times I have lingered a little to watch the kids on the playground after dropping my daughter off. On two days she was sad and just stood there looking lost and miserable. Both times, one of the staff members noticed her within minutes, picked her up, gave her a hug, and helped here get involved in an activity. My son has been going to this school for two years and is just thriving socially and academically. He is reading, writing, and building confidence. This is an outstanding school.
