I have had two children attend SSPS; one child for two years. Every teacher we have had has been amazing. They focus on the child and help them grow in their own special way. Their social and academic skills grew immensely! Both children began to read at age 4, simply because the teachers built that interest. I LOVE this school and have heard many others say "They work miracles here." Staff and administration is welcoming, supportive, and always smiling.

I have had two children go here and its pretty amazing. Its free paid for by the state and its only for preschoolers. So far our teachers have been fantastic always well educated and they have four half days a week. It is a bit difficult to get into but only because so many try to get into it. I would definitly recommend this school to any parent, especially if you have a special needs child.

I feel obligated to write and warn others. If you have an interest in your childs education it will fall on deaf ears here. The teachers are awesome but the principal/school leadership is anything but. Teachers try to help and advocate for your child but your roadblock will be the principal. The acts are very vindictive and childish. It saddens me that the administration puts emphasis on alienating the parental involvements. I have had a huge concern which fell on deaf ears and was instead told incorrect information on purpose call it what you will but the objective was to ensure what was not best for my child but rather what was best for principals liking. Do not cross or question the administration. I also notice the teachers don't get the credit they deserve, many have left for better work environments elsewhere-good for them. There are some gold teachers there but at this rate I doubt they would be there any longer. A huge mistake of this school is the actions or lack of actions of the principal. This is what brings our schools down, please wake up and take notice.

Very very important. Traumas that happen at an early age can stay with a child for life!
