My daughter has been there for almost 2 years - she is now 3. Chesterbrook has a great program. She can write her name, count to 100, knows the days, months, seasons, and is starting to read. Although its mostly working parents whose kids go there because of the full time option, its way more than just "day care". The only complain is class size - toward the end of the year, the classes get quite full. But my daughter has thrived there.

My son started at 1 year old and is about to move to the 2 year room soon. We have been very happy with our experience with Chesterbrook. Ms. Jacqui and Ms. Melissa have made me feel like he is with family all day long. They are very loving and caring and my son adores them! They are as excited as me when he learns something new and show his new skills off to me when I pick him up at the end of the day. We will have a newborn soon and I intend to have her go to Chesterbrook as well... even though 2 kids in daycare is the same cost as a nanny!

I just visited the school, and my daughter is starting in next few days. There has a been a recent regime change at school. The new director is impressive. She clearly 'personally' cares about everyone entering her school. I was taken back by the 'positive' tone of the staff/parents. No rating for me as of yet...will report back in a few months. Just thought it's only fair to point out recent changes enlight of some of the comments.

it's ok. more like a daycare and not a school. Most people are pretty ambivalent about the school.

Expose your child to as many activities as they show interest in. They should not be expected to fulfill YOUR dreams. If you support their interest(s) it can grow into a lifelong passion. In turn, they will bond with others who share that interest.

Americans seem to value extroverts more than introverts. I came out of my shell when I found friends and activities that I liked (high school). And it just took off from there. Perhaps shy kids are just pickier about whose company they keep.
