I am the mother of two young girls. They both attended the head start program, and also the pre-K. I found that it was a major benefit to both of my children. The program focuses on early learning skills, and social activity and behaviors. My children both advanced very quickly as far as their grammer, and social skills are concerned. The teachers take the time to work with each child in their difficult areas.

I have 2 children that attended the Luzerne County head start program. I found the program very advanced in all aspects of early education. They learned reading, writing, and arithmatic in ways that made it easy for them to learn.Every day they came home with more and more knowlege.I was amazed at how much they were taught at such a young age. The teachers were exeptional. My children have gone on to graduate Highschool all the while in honor classes and both are in College now. My daughter is on the Deans list.I believe that going to Head start has helped them to become successful in all that they attempt to do.I recommend this program Highly.

No... thank goodness. Not everything in life is a lesson. Relaxation is an art that should be practiced more. Sometimes its ok to just "play".

Each toy DOES teach something, but it is up to the adult to make it interesting by being encouraging and specific.
