The growing place by far it's one of the best schools there's is in miami lakes. This place it's not only a school but it's more like a home to our family. First if all let me begging to say the Director Maggie it's very welcoming to the students and parents, she fakes her time to ensure that every child it's happy and safe at all times!! Best director I have ever met! The teachers are amazing loving and caring to every child. When my daughter first began at the growing place she didn't want to eat very well, the teachers would ensure that everyday she would eat all her food no matter how long it took. My daughter did not know how to write her name when she began there she finished knowing how to read and write perfectly. I am proud to call this place home to our family, thank you for all the love and care The Growing Place offered to our family.

I had 3 children attend The Growing Place. Best thing I ever did to jump start their education. My grandson went their for 2 years and now in second grand he is making all A's.The school has an excellent history The staff are caring devoted. My oldest son hurt himself there years ago falling off the monkey bars ( his fault ) . They removed the monkey bars the next day.

My daughter attended the Growing Place for nearly 3 years. When I looked for a preschool my main concern was to find a nurturing environment where she could learn through play and exploration while feeling loved and safe. We certainly found that at The Growing Place. In my opinion the school offers a great balance between play based and academic learning. My daughter graduated from Preschool knowing how to read as well beginning to write spontaneous sentences. She learned about different countries and cultures in the world, including how to locate these places in a globe. She has a strong self-esteem, great social skills, and a strong faith background. I loved the open door policy. Families are very involved in the school and teachers are welcoming. As a speech-language pathologist I visit lots of preschools and The Growing Place is one of the top ones. I could not have asked for more!

The Growing Place is a preschool that is definitely below the necessary standards that a parent deems adequate. The issues that arose in the year that my son was in VPK at the Growing Place were mainly safety issues. The playground was unsafe, the water fountain was the home of thousands of mosquitoes and regardless of the number of parents that complained, few things were fixed. The director, Maggie, shouldn't be involved with children. She is inadequately prepared to be director of a preschool, one is left wondering how she got the job. She doesn't seem to care about the students. If you must enroll your student at this school for VPK, I would highly recommend Ms. Veronica. This teacher is worth her weight in gold. She is loving, caring and so compassionate. She truly teaches and watches her kids, unlike the other teachers at the school. Not really sure what she's doing at this school. She is truly the one exception to everything negative about the growing place. My son won't be returning to the Growing Place for Kindergarten because I worry about his safety and what he will learn with the other teachers that work here. I would steer clear of this school!
