We toured many SC area pre-schools before selecting Stay and Play, and I'm VERY happy with our decision! The price is reasonable, the class sizes are small, the director and assistant director are very friendly and the teachers are wonderful! They take lots of field trips and learn something valuable on each one (there's even a nice park in walking distance they take the children to on warm days). Our child is in one of the four year olds classrooms (they offer care for younger children AND up to pre-school), and her teachers are outstanding. VERY creative activities to keep the kids learning, entertained and interested. Gentle and patient approach to dicipline. And extremly parent friendly. Parents are even encouraged to visit/help in their child's classroom any day they like. The children are fed a small snack every day and it is always healthy. I have absolutly NOTHING bad to say about this school (and I'm a bit of an over-protective mommy to put it mildly). I could go on and on more, but, I'll just strongly reccomend you call the school, set up a tour and see for yourself. Stay and Play is great and well worth your time. Go have a look! :-)

I think common core is going to produce a bunch of dumb adults. Once the kids are grown and out in the real world they aren't going to know how to solve any problem without writing out the answer step by step

I think common core will definitely make moving families feel more confident in their school district choices, but I definitely worry about the learning curve as common core is implemented.
