I love this school. My son is learning so much and is enjoying the time he is there. The Teachers, Assistants and Directors are all wonderful people. I plan on sending my other 2 children there next year when they are 3.
This school I think is a great school. My first daughter went here for preschool and K and had the most wonderful time. Miss Kate is great and she is treated very well! I know many people who have had there children at this school since they were infants and they still attend now that they are older children. I just recently had a new baby who is 4 months and A step up was the first place I called for child care. Yes the school is old but it is very clean and well kept. The only thing I do not like at this school is the baby sleeping area. I agree it is a very small boxy room and has only 1 door but it is off the toddler room and a teacher is always in the room while children sleep!
I have had my children in a few centers, and I have to say I am very pleased my children attend this one. I know my children are loved by the staff at A Step Up. Every day they are happy when I pick them up. My son has special needs, and the center helped me get him the help he needed. How many childcare center directors do you know that will make the effort to go to another state to help with the evaluation process? I am very happy I found this school. I only wish I found it sooner.
I agree. It is a great school. My children went there for 5 years. The teachers and directors are kind, caring people. There is more to a 'school' than brand new facilities. Schools are about community and curriculum. My children are successful 4th and 7th graders now, both academically and socially; they had a great start at A Step Up.
This scool is cold and unfriendly. The directors are pretentious. The staff seemed nice but it appeared they are not treated well. The most horrifying sight was the infant sleeping area which is a cinder black room with no windows and one door, in a hall away from any classroom. I did not and would recommend that other families not enroll children here.
