My son is just ending his time at this amazing school and we are all sad. My son is on the autism spectrum and when he came to First Step he was non-verbal, with few social skills, poor non-verbal communication, severely impaired cognitive decvelopment and debilitating sensory issues. He is now talking in sentences, with GREAT social skills, nearly age appropriate cognitive skills in some areas and is greatly improved sensorially. ARC has fabulous programming an intelligent, caring staff of teachers and therapists and a gorgeous, clean facility. This s the BEST special needs placement in the county- with music therapy, the children take almost weekly trips, aqua-therapy and the BEST speech and OT available. My son would not be where he is today without the ARC/ First Step!
