I normally do not have any thing good to say about the New Castle Area school district: however, Croton Pre-K is the only exception to this rule. I truly believe my sons received a quality education from teachers and staff that exhibit a true understanding and love for the children.

My son has attended this pre-k school since 9/07 and i could not be more satisfied. The teacher to student ratio is approximately 10 to 1. The staff is second to none. The teachers take a personal interest in the development of each child. The principal of the school visits each classroom regularly and knows each child by name, which is impressive considering the number of students. The learning program is excellent and well balanced with gross motor activity and a variety of field trips. Additionally, Croton Pre-K encourages parents to be involved. They maintain an open door policy. A parent can visit their child's classroom anytime to see the learning environment and their childs interaction with the staff and other students. This school is a model for what an early learning center should be.
