We have had such an amazing experience at Breezy Point over the past 7 years! My son is a graduate of Breezy Point and my daughter currently attends. As an elementary teacher and growing up with a mother who owned her own preschool I knew exactly what I was looking for in a preschool for my own children. From the moment we visited, we knew there was no comparison to any other school we had seen. The teachers are truly amazing! Many of the teachers have been there for a number of years and it feels like a family when you are there. The curriculum focuses on stimulating the mind and nurturing the spirit. Children learn the academic skills they need to create a strong foundation for school while also being exposed to a variety of other extracurricular activities, such as Spanish. The grounds at Breezy Point are amazing! There are numerous playgrounds including "Breezy Town" a child size town where students can play house, build in a workshop, dress up as a firefighter, etc. If you are looking for a preschool that builds a strong academic foundation for school, builds confidence, and is a place your child will love to attend then I highly recommend Breezy Point Day School!
There is just no comparison. As a teacher I am super pickey where my two year old and 5 year old go to school. I always wanted to be a stay home mom but had to go back to work so it was important I felt like I literally was dropping my babies off with family. With Breezy Point thats what it feels like...family. My son thrived since he was 18 months, he has learned more then I could've ever taught him. They don't just read a book and ask questions, the entire room turns into the theme and the kids experience things like France and learn at the age of 2! It's not just one playground for all kids. The grounds of Breezy Point are a magical wonderland for kids, playgrounds, houses, sandboxes, gardens... Put it this way, there are several places on my way to work, Breezy Point is in the opposite direction, but not far, I go out of my way to drop off my son because I know he is thriving there, is loved and has family like teachers at Breezy Point. No comparison:)
My two sons have both attended Breezy Point Day School. After researching many of the preschools in the area, I decided on Breezy Point because I could tell, just by visiting, what a loving environment the teachers and staff create for the students. Parents and teachers work together to help develop children socially, emotionally and academically. The grounds at Breezy Point are beautiful as well. I loved that my children were able to visit not just one playground, but several outside play areas including Breezy Town, Breezy Point Gardens and Wiki Wami. Best of all, some of our closest friends are other families we ve met from Breezy Point.
My two children attend Breezy Point and it is by far the BEST school out there! The teachers are amazing. The activities that they do with the children are incredible. My kids love it and have learned so much, all while having fun. We are so grateful to have found Breezy Point. I would recommend it to anyone!
Breezy Point offers caring and giving teachers and staff. I have twins that are in the daycare and they love it. Most days they do not want to leave. The staff keeps the children engaged in different constructive activities throughout the day and they are never in front of a TV. The toys and activities change often to work on different developmental skills. The grounds are wonderful and like no other daycare I have seen. The children play on several play grounds, go out into the fields and just run around safely. Each age group has its own space that is closed off and secured so they do not disturb each other. Breezy Point brings all the children together for special events and activities when appropriate. The grounds have good security. My children are well cared for, engaged and are learning in leaps and bounds. Breezy Point feels like family.
Breezy Point offers daycare, preschool and kindergarten; for some parents, it functions as both school and child care in one handy location. What's not to like? Well, let's see: Despite the school's charming ambience and gently-rolling hills, there is a 'flat' feel to the place. The playground that is very visible when one enters the grounds gets occasional use, if that. Older students are urged to 'be quiet' during outdoor play because of napping infants. Despite the big, white house on the hill and the other impressive accoutrements of BP, the school is average, I think, with lukewarm instructors and a surreal environment. Kids get academic instruction, even the preschoolers, to some extent, and snacks, and little rest periods. All quite typical. What is not typical is the price. BP is a very expensive proposition esp. if one uses the child care option as well as the academic (e.g.: All-day K = $10,000.)
My children attended BP for 3 years. My daughter learned great social skills and is off to a great start in 1st grade! The grounds are amazing and they use every inch of them in their classrooms! Their traveleing trunks and fantasy trips to far away lands are out of this world. They make the kids feel that they are actually visiting these places. Also, they are very multicultural and both my kids have great respect and understanding of different religions, cultures and holidays.
