West Linn Montessori School

Our daughter attends WLMS, and we just love it! She gets so much individualized attention from the outstanding teachers, has learned a ton over the past two years, and has made so many friends. She looks forward to going to school, and has learned to love learning. We have also learned so much about child development and discipline from Mrs. Martin, the head teacher. We can't wait until the next child is old enough to attend! Truly a wonderful place for young minds!

Our two boys attend this gem of a school and simply put it needs to be on your list to see if you are considering preschool in this area. IMHO the staff is simply unsurpassed (all moms themselves) with simply amazing knowledge of child development and behavior. If you are not sold on the interpretation of Montessori principles at other schools you owe it to yourself to see how this school effectively balances guidance, discipline, and self-paced learning.

Our daughter has thrived at this fabulous facility. She has learned so much and is now almost reading at only 4 years old. She has come out of her shell and has many friends at school. The staff do everything to encourage and develop each pupil giving individual attention when required. My other daughter who is 3 will be joining soon.

Our two children attended West Linn Montessori and the academics far exceeded our expectations. When our oldest child left at age 6, she was reading at about 3rd grade level and had a phenomenal sense of numbers including fractions and multiplication. The classroom allows children to move at their own pace and demands the utmost respect for the learning environment and each other. The school is by far the best in the area and had parents driving from as far away as Sherwood to have their children attend.

This small school is easily overlooked, but it is by far the best available in the Portland area. The school has achieved an international reputation entirely by word of mouth
