My daughter attended SCDC for about two years, from almost age 2 to 3.5. She loved her teacher and I always felt that she was safe there. The classrooms were calm and well run, and the kids got outside every day. I recommend SCDC.
My children have attended SCDC for 13 years now and I can not say enough about the program they run. The staff has been the same since 1996 and only added more excellent providers vs. changed. The activities are superior to any center I have even seen and I read an article about them that rated them 4 in the nation. I absoulutely feel they deserve to be in the top 10 best centers nationally. They have such things as camping, biking, swimming, weekly field trips for every age, yearly carnival, recital, graduation, etc. If you have any concerns about day care don't even hesitate to call SCDC and enroll your child, I guarantee you will not regret it. I am so sad this is my last year...however my 12 year old daughter, whom still has close relationships with her old teachers, will work here some day.
This school is fabulous. I have no doubt my children are safe and adored. The teaching staff never changes which speaks highly. The information that is communicated, the foster grandma's, the activities, learning environment, and nurturing are the best I have found. I will not go anywhere else.
This school is wonderful. They work very well with my high energy child. Lots of field trips and fun activity. I love the fact that the teachers get messy right along with the kids during activity and fun time. My child comes home everyday with more knowledge but doesn't have the information forced upon him. He learns through play and music. They even have foster 'grandmas' that help at the center. My son loves this. My other child is in their afterschool program off site and adores the peole taht work there. After several attempts at finding great care for my children, I am estatic that I found Salem Child Developement Center. My kids are safe and well loved there.
