We had our extremely bright, inquisitive son in public schools in another town for 3 weeks and he went from loving to learn to hating to go to school. We looked at several public and private options and decided that even though it was a 30 minute drive, it was worth the effort. We have not been disipointed at all. The learing environment is exceptional. The kids all love and respect Miss Kerry and the rest of the staff. The kids are all so well behaved and really support each others learning experience. We just moved into Eugene and even though the public schools are better here and we considered moving him out of Far Horizons, in the end we felt that the learning and development that he gets there is just exceptional and worth the extra cost. On the practical side, the costs are extremely reasonable.

I am very grateful my children went to Far Horizons. They had a great experience both in their primary years as well as through out elementary. My daughter will transition to middle school next year well ahead of her peers both emotionally and academically. The teachers are caring and always have time to discuss any issue.

Our two boys graduated from Far Horizons (now in it's 25th year). Both started out of diapers and left after 5th grade. Both transitioned into public middle school far ahead of the curve. Kerry Knust is a great teacher for elementary and Lisa and Kathy are wonderful with the younger ones. The music program is incredable. A very global educations emphasis. Montessori well tought which lends itself to individual and small group learing in the context of a multi aged classroom. Much more to write but out of time.
