This is a wonderful daycare! I have and will continue to recommend it to anyone looking for a good daycare. I found Bits of Stardust in Oct 2005 when my oldest sons were only 15 months and 1 month old. We had just moved to Oklahoma and the daycare had just opened and had 2 available spots. The boys stayed there until Jan of 2012 and I was completely happy with their level of care and education until they left. The boys and I loved each of their teachers as well as the owners (Peggy and Steve). It was like a second home for my boys. A majority of the teachers at the daycare have been there from the beginning which I believe speaks to how well the owners run their business. When I got pregnant again in Jan of this year I knew immediately where the baby would attend daycare. I gave birth to another boy this past Sept and he started at Bits of Stardust the last week of Oct. Just like before, I am completely happy with the teachers, the owners and the level of care. It is like a second home again.
It's a shame that people think you're horrible when you have to beg parents to pay for the care of their child. I don't know what it is about childcare that parents think that they don't have to pay for the care, the food their child eats and the gas you use to get them back and forth to school. When parents get 2 to 3 weeks behind on payment, yes you have to let parents know "either you pay or don't bring your child".
The child care personnel and the level of care provided to the children at Bits of Stardust were outstanding and our daughter loved going there. However, the owner/operator, Peggy McKenzie, is such a rude and miserable person and so belligerent to the parents that we ended up pulling our daughter out of the daycare. No level of care is high enough to make up for how this woman treats her paying customers.
My son has been attending Bits of Stardust since he was 6 months old. I took him to a different daycare the first few months of his life and was very disappointed. Ever since he has been going to Bits of Stardust his mood when he gets home is GREAT! He is such a happy baby. He learns so much from his teachers and all the activities they do. I am so happy with this center! I would recommend it to anyone!!
This is a great Daycare. I am a mother of 5, all attend the daycare. The owners are a husband and wife, even though it is a large center my children feel they have a second home. I love that there is a great curriculum. Each week there is a theme for the entire daycare. For example: Dr Suess week for his birthday. My preschooler will do worksheets about Dr Suess. My 3yr old will pracice writing the letter S for Suess, And my 2yr old will glue pasta to a big letter S. They eat green eggs and ham, read Dr suess books, and everyone made a Cat in the Hat hat. My baby is cared for as if Grandma was watching her. The facility is under 24hr survalance, they had only 1 DHS discrepancy in 4+ years, and the playground is large. You can't beat it anywhere is SouthOKC/Moore.
