Pumpkin Shell School

A previous review from an anonymous kindergarten parent at Pumpkin Shell mentions inaccurate information. As alleged in the review, no changes in policy regarding issues concerning children's safety have been changed. The truth is that safety is and has always been of the highest importance to the owners and staff. I have been teaching at Pumpkin Shell for 16 years, and I can say this without reservation. This is by far the best preschool and kindergarten in Norman Oklahoma. The teachers are above compare and my child feels so nutured and loved. This is not a typical preschool; the teachers are well educated and are dedicated to the well being of each and every child. My child not only learned general academics, she also learned self-awareness, self-discipline, kindness, not to mention Spanish and French! I would recommend this school to any and everyone!

Pumpkin Shell is the Best School anywhere. The owner is amazing. The teachers are wonderful and the KIDS love it there! I am so impressed by my kids learning experience at pumpkin shell, I have asked to volunteer at the school! Pumpkin Shell provides children with a top notch education!!

Pumpkin Shell is an amazing school. My children attended this school under both ownerships and have both thrived here. The teachers (which include the owner) care so much for the children and that caring travels into the families. This school also offers a wonderful curriculum that teaches the children more than just academics. My children have learned manners, respect for others and elders, and many other small life lessons. I would (and have MANY times) recommend Pumpkin Shell to anyone looking for a quality preschool or Kindergarten.

Has been a great school until recent ownership change. The owner has no polcies in place for children hitting and seems only to be concerned about the $545 monthly tuition and not the childrens saftey I would look into to Gingerbread, that is who used to run Pumpkin Shell!

Pumpkin Shell is a great school! My child comes home everyday and tells me how much she loves the school. We like all of the interaction that our daughter receives with both teacher, and other students. She is always excited about the great crafts she is able to make and is always quick to tell my husband and about all of the great things she learned during the day at school. I would recommend this school to any parents in the Norman area!!

I was a been a Pumpkin Shell parent from 1996- 2008. All four of our children were educated by this incredible institution. I was absolutely thrilled by the high level of Teacher proffessionalism. Our children were nurtured, loved and well cared for. They were also introduced, each one, to the finest early childhood education. If I had 100 more children, they would al be Pumpkin Shell students.

This is a warm and nurturing place. The teachers are very enthusiastic and make yoru child feel special. My daughter thrived in Kindergarten there. She absolutely loved it. Scholastically, it was on par with the public schools.
