I love love love this school. I am an overbearing and overprotective first time mom, but I feel great comfort in leaving my daughter at school everyday. She loves it, and I love its traditional preschool setting. In addition the Mother's Day Out program is not just 'daycare' the children actually learn! I recommend this school to all of my friends and family.
I looked at numerous schools for my 3 year old before deciding on St. Stephen's. It has a calm, loving, learning environment. The director is very involved and you can tell that she loves the children at her school. The teachers are wonderful. Small teacher to student ratios. Also, I'm very excited about the brand new Nature Playscape they are building. So glad my children will be able to benefit from this outdoor learning environment. I highly recommend St. Stephen's!
I love St. Stephens Weekday School. My son loved the two years he attended there and still goes back to visit his old teachers. The classrooms are clean, the teachers are patient and knowledgable, and they were the most affordable preschool I found. I liked the school so much that after my son started Kindergarten I became a substitute teacher at St. Stephen's. If I ever have more children they will definately be going to St. Stephen's for preschool. -Nancy Fairchild a big fan
My grandson currently attends the Toddlers (10 months by Sept 1) class. I highly recommend this preschool. Each day his teacher sends home a note indicating his personal experiences that day including story read, songs sung, and activities. She also dates each item of artwork he does for his memoirs. A weekly lesson plan is provided to each parent indicating all experiences to be covered such as toys, pretending, stories, music, creative arts, food tasting, and outdoor exploring. Each day we see advances in his social and mental skills. You witness the love the teacher has for teaching as well as her love for the children. St. Stephen's Weekday Preschool is definitely a great place for children to learn. Charlotte Register
This developmental preschool focuses on children learning through play. Each child is accepted for who they are and individual needs are focused upon. Curriculum is built upon the children's interests. A new 'backyard' playscape is being built to bring the children back to nature - for exploring, discovering, and developing their sense of wonder!
