Primrose School of Johnstown Road

I wish I had better things to say about our experience at Primrose, but I don't. In my opinion, the administration is awful. They do not communicate with parents on any level. For example, two of my son's teachers quit (despite an alleged contract) during the year and the administration did not even bother to timely inform the parents. Further, the administration does not appear to support the teachers in the classroom on any meaningful level. My son's class had several children with considerable behavioral issues that simply were not effectively addressed during the course of the year - an issue that had a very negative impact on the dynamics of the class. With one exception, the floater teachers appear to be ineffectively trained - as I witnessed floaters struggle to respond appropriately to issues such as gun play and violence. Finally, safety was a concern at times as my son was picked up several times throughout the year by a relative, and at no time was the relative stopped at the front desk to see if she was a designated person for pick up. With the exception of 1 teacher, we were counting the days and are thrilled that our son is done with Primrose.

My daughter has been attending this school for 2 years now. She is absolutely thriving! The school is clean, the staff communicates very extensively, and very well, and the teachers are nurturing yet firm when needed. I highly recommend the Primrose School!
