I love this school. When I was having problems with the public school system meeting my children needs Mrs. Mims took them in and put them all on a great path. Right now, I am recommending my grandson to this school b/c the daycare is trying to label him as a problem child. In fact, he a highly intelligent child who needs to be challenged. This school treats a child according to their ability not as a lump a clay mold from the same bowl. :)
My Son and Daugher attended MCPS for elementary school. I would highly recommend the school to all parents who wish their children to have the opportunity to excel academically and develop a healthy self-esteem.
I am very pleased with the progression that my child has made at Marva Collins. She is only four, and she is already reading. Her vocabulary has improved dramatically, and she has never been more excited to learn. The thing that I love about Marva Collins the most is that they don't wait until the child is in middle school to start pushing the child to their highest capabilities. The support and feedback that she receives from the teachers encourages her to be hungry for knowledge. I am confident that she is on the road to success as a direct result of starting her education at this school.
