My son has been at the ECC for going on his 3rd yr> he loves it and the teachers are the best. Mrs. Vellotta was heaven sent.

My son is going on his 3rd yr. at the ECC. He loves it there. Mrs. Velotta was a heaven sent. My son has grown so much over the past 2yrs its unbelievable. I couldnt of asked for better teaches this yr in K.

My daughter is currently enrolled in the ECC and I have a mixed review. She loves it. I'm not sold. In part because the school day is part-time and I think this leads to too many students per teacher. If I wasn't involved in volunteering in the classroom, I wouldn't have had one face-to-face interaction with the teacher. I find this unsatisfactory in elementary educaction. Essentially, if the child is succeeding and following rules, they fall under the radar. The district needs to find a better alternative to the location (not in city limits)and alternating school days. I think the children suffer as a result.

I had two in kindergarten this year at ECC. I was very impressed with Mrs. Gordon, and my children loved her. They are both reading, doing simple addition and subtraction and their vocabulary is expanding with words I would think are more on the level of a 3rd grader. I really don't know what I would suggest for improvement, Mrs. Gordon went above and beyond my expectations in every area. The food served leaves much to be desired. I think they need a nutritionist on staff if they have one, they need a new one. Occasional carrot sticks are not an answer--we packed lunch everyday.
