Montessori School of University Heights

This is an excellent preschool/kindergarten. The directress follows Montessori theories very conscientiously, and provides classes for parent to learn about the theory as well. She and the other teachers provide superb instruction and a caring environment that emphasizes independence, respect for others and the world around us, and learning across all areas at a child-determined pace. There is a high teacher-student ratio. The classroom is always spotless and orderly. The children are consistently calm, happy, and caring towards one another. The teachers support the children's reaching their highest potential. I also like the Good Shepard catechesis, which is Christian based but non-denominational. My first daughter was very happy and successful there, and we will be sending our second child there as well. Overall, we highly recommend this school!

After observing several other Montessori Schools in Northeast Ohio, we chose MSUH. We couldn't find a more productive, peaceful, organized, and loving environment for our child to realize his full potential. MSUS is simply THE BEST and truly one of Northeast Ohio's best kept secret when it comes to Montessori Schools.

My daughter is in her second year at and I cannot say enough good things about Maria Wood and her staff. With their direction and caring, my daughter has developed a love for learning and spiritual sense of the world. Maria has created a place that has given us so much more than I ever expected from a preschool.
