I was a little bit hesitant to enroll my child at this school because of what I heard other people say in the community. I decided to go take a look for myself and I am so glad I did. What I found was smaller classroom sizes than the other facilities that I had visited and the interaction between the teachers and the children was outstanding! I asked if it were possible to bring my child back for a visit and without a thought was encouraged to. My child was hesitant to come into the class at first but the other children began to welcome him in along with the teacher and pretty soon he was sold on the center as quick as I was. Before my visit to the center I thought it was strictly for children with disabilities but after visiting I found that to be untrue. I asked the director, who was able to answer all of my questions, and she let me know that they center had typically developing children as well as children with special needs. This made me very happy to know that my child would be able to be in a classroom that was not strictly special needs (he shows signs of autism). I would recommend that if you are looking for childcare in this area or have a special need child to come here.

This gifted program has change GREATLY in the past 18 months. The level of education that the teachers have is equal if not greater than that of our public school system! What a luxury to have a daycare alternative of this caliber in Carteret County! Plus, where else in this county can we send our adult day care citizens?

This school sounds great on the surface but the reality is much different. Classes are very loosly structured and parents are not allowed to go back to the classes to observe. No extra curricular activities are offered. On the good side, the teachers do care about the students and it is an okay alternative for those severe children who can't be in public school.
