My daughter attended this school during the 2009-2010 school year on the recommendation of my husband's aunt, who taught there about 30 years ago. We were lied to from Day #1. I am a certified teacher, and the first question I asked when looking here was whether or not the classroom teachers are all certified (NOT a requirement in NY State!). I was told that they were, only to find out about a month into the school year after MANY problems with my daughter's teacher, that there was ONE certified teacher in the entire school, and she was one of the Kindergarten teachers. My daughter's classroom was chaotic, disorganized, and completely non-productive. The director of the school was constantly distracted, and would not answer any of my questions face to face. I was lied to over and over, and as a reult, decided that my son would attend preschool elsewhere. If you are looking for a REAL school experience where your child will gain social and accademic skills neccessary for life, go ANYWHERE but here!!! The only person we found worth even a second look in this place was the gym teacher. Fortunately, my daughter did not suffer from being there, or we would have removed her.

Myself and my siblings attended PVNS, and I also sent my older son here (and plan on sending my younger one to PVNS next year)... The teachers are warm and caring and the environment is fun and playful. They were also perceptive enough to identify my son's fine motor difficulty and help me acquire the appropriate interventions through CPSE/NYS. PVNS is a great introduction to 'school life' for youngsters. Highly recommended!
