I moved to the area in time to enroll my daughter in the pre-K program. While the playground and learning stations in the classrooms were great, I found the majority of teachers and administrators to be cliquish and partial to the kids who had been enrolled at the school for multiple years, to the extent that it adversely impacted my daughter's education there. I elected not to enroll my son there. We are much more impressed with the caliber of his teachers at CLASP.

We love the Great Neck Community School. My daughter began at 21 months at the Community School since she is a November birthday, and returned again this year for the 3s school. The teachers are experienced, dedicated and warm. My daughter loves school, what a great foundation for her education!

When we moved here and visited the school, we were immediately sure that this would be the right environment for our children. By the end of this year we will have been in Great Neck Community School for 9 years. And the kids love to go back and visit their teachers.

The Great Neck Community School offers a wonderfully warm and nurturing education environment. We have sent both our children there, and they have received excellent, professional, and loving care from the well-trained staff. Our girls were introduced to many new and exciting ideas that have greatly expanded their minds and have put them on the path to knowledge and understanding. I cannot say enough about the GNCS.

Great Neck Community School is a wonderful, warm environment for young children. They learn with joy. The teachers are experienced professionals who really care about their students. The school is on its 78th year - they really know what they are doing. My daughter comes home with so much information - numbers, letters, artists, nature - and all from creative projects and group activities. Your child's years at GNCS will be a gift of learning that will last a lifetime.

GNCS is a great school. The teachers are incredibly warm and nurturing. My son has been there for two years now. He will 'graduate' to Kindergarten this fall. It is amazing how much he's learned in those two years, in knowledge and good manners. We will miss the teachers and that wonderful playground!!! Fortunately, our little one will start next Fall there too.

Great Neck Community School is a wonderful school with excellent teachers. I have a child who is currently enrolled and another that attended in the past. Both of my children loved it. It's a very safe and nurturing envioronment. I was very pleased as a parent with how well my children were cared for at the school and how much they learned and grew.

I can't say enough about GNCS. My son is 4 and has been there since he was two. My daughter will also be starting the twos program in the fall. From the teachers, to the director...everyone is top notch. They provide a warm and nurturing environment that enables children to reach their best potential. As a first time parent with my son, GNCS far exceeded my expectations..the best school there is.

There is no comparable program in Great Neck that provides as warm and nurturing an environment as GNCS. The program is fun, stimulating and age-appropriate with an emphasis on learning through play. Kindergarten teachers in the Great Neck public schools say that they can always tell which students came from GNCS, because they are so well-prepared to handle the transition and ready to learn.

My second child is now going to GNCS, I will miss the teachers and the school terribly when he graduates. The building has a warm, home style feel and it is just the right size for the little ones. The playground is superb, the biggest and best around, and the kids love it. The staff is caring and well trained, it is a great school.

Great Neck Community School is an absolute treasure. It provides a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for pre-school age children. It truly enriches their lives both emotionally and intellectually. I would never consider sending my children anywhere else.

I have had three children experience the wonder of Great Neck Community School (GNCS) over a span of nine years. I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff, many of whom have been teaching at the school for more than 20 years. The environment is homey and nuturing, but what is really best of all is the importance they place on 'learning through play.' Watching my youngest child unfold at her own pace and blossom into a bubbly five year old with a passion for learning has been amazing. This school is a very special gift and I feel lucky that I have had the opportunity to give that to my children - a wonderful foundation that has created lifelong learners.

GNCS is, by far, the best option in the area! The teachers provide a warm, nuturing environment where they can show off their true skills...teaching pre-schoolers everything they need for kindergarten in a way that makes every lesson memorable. The depth of each segment is surprising at this age level, the kids don't just learn about penguins, they take a pretend trip to Antartica, complete with passports. The director and support staff will make sure you, as a parent, are invoved as much as you want to be. Not only do you receive e-mail newsletters and photos, but you are welcome and encouraged to come to the class and share in the fun. My two daughters have benefitted in ways I probably only begin to see now, the real gift of this kind of school is that they will take the memories with them forever, and so will you!

Our son was privileged to attend GNCS for two years. He was nurtured, he was challenged. He grew from a baby boy to a confident student who was more than ready to face the challenges of a more structured kindergarten setting. The programs were all developmentally appropriate and we were thoroughly amazed at his seamless development. We could not have hoped for anything more.

The day that I went for a tour of GNCS 5 years ago, I knew it was a great fit for me and my first child. The school felt like a second home and I still feel that way with my third and last child currently attending. My youngest loves her teachers, all the daily and special activities and playing outside in the great playground! The teachers make all of their learning experiences fun and exciting. The school has a great relationship with the kindergartens in the area and I've had kindergarten and 1st grade teachers comment that they can tell a child that went to GNCS by how enthusiastic and prepared they are.

I am a current parent of a 3 year old at the Great Neck Community School. I can honestly say this is the BEST place to be! My son is extremely happy there, and the atmosphere in this school is incredible. It's more than a preschool, it's a home. My daughter, now in Kindergarten, also attended, starting with the Two's Clue's program. She was more than ready to move on to Kindergarten, and her teacher raves about how well prepared she was upon entering. You couldn't ask for a more dedicated, professional staff. From the minute you walk into the school you are a part of it, but most importantly, you WANT to be a part of it. Look no further, this is the place to be!

My child loves her teachers and every day learns something new. She is involved in after school activities such as music, yoga, sports. Her eyes sparkle as she tells us about her day at school and asks to go back the next day. I have a younger child who will be attending GNCS in less then 2 years. This school is truly the most nurturing and personable place for children and their parents.

I currently have two daughters at Great Neck Community School, and I couldn't be happier! They both come home bursting with stories about all of the fun and interesting things they did at school. The teachers are very attuned to the needs of the children, and the environment is very warm and loving. I am so sad that my older daughter is going to be too old to attend again next year!

My 3 1/2 year old daughter currently attends GNCS, and I couldn't be more impressed with the nurturing environment, stimulating enrichment, and caring personnel. This is truly a community in every sense of the word--my daughter loves it! I've already enrolled her for next year...
