Profile Completeness

BASIC

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

At first I was totally against sending my son to this school. I did not like the location. Our developmental pediatrician said, in her opinion, it was one of the top 5 in NYC for my sons age group (2-3) at the time. So we gave it a shot. That was honestly the best thing we could have done for my son. Everyone that works there honestly cares for each and every child. They take the time to learn the likes, dislikes, strengths, and weaknesses of each child. The individual plan they came up with for him was spot on. They also encourage parent involvement. Most importantly my son loved it. My child has since graduated from NYCRC and has successfully completed a 4 year old preschool program in another school. He is 5 and now in public school going into the first grade. He reading and math is well above grade level. He has many friends and is popular in school. He still has some things to work on; but I can credit much of the success to the wonderful people at NYCRC.

Too many students with not enough staff for the type of program that is offered(1:1 Instruction). The school is run like a business not a school. Look elsewhere!

I'm dissatisfied with this school. I went for a tour and this is no place I would send my son. the area is dangerous and the building has a foul odor and it wasn't very clean. the classrooms are overcrowded and not very kid friendly. I didn't get a warm school feeling after my tour.

If you are looking for an excellent A.B.A. program I recommend looking at this school. The staff is excellent and everyone has a loving commitment to each and every child.

I am so dissatisfied that I have pulled my child out of this school. At first this was my top five but after a change in direction the goals for child were sub par to say the least. I would not recommend this school to parents that have high expectations for their children.
