My 4 year old recently started the preschool program to receive language therapy. The process to start him in the program took awhile , but I soon discovered that it was because they designed an entire program around my son. This included sending him to several specialists, all paid for by the town. The whole day (8AM - 2:15PM) is designed around him. It seems like his teacher and staff have known him forever. His teacher, Ms. Yolanda is phenomenal! So sweet, and great with my son. There are many caring assistants in his small class and they all know exactly what they're doing. He transitioned easily and loves school. He came from the Lindgren school where children are physical, find joy in learning, discover nature and get messy a lot. The same wonderful philosophy applies here, just with more structure - which children with these needs improve with. Anyone with a child with language and/or occupational therapy needs knows that insurance wont cover these services, and it's very expensive. What a wonderful service this school provides! Although hesitant to go this route at first I am thrilled by this school and the results achieved in such a short time.

My daughter was forced to go Quarles in order to continue to receive services such as speech and occupational therapy. I didn't want to go. I was pleasantly surprised. Quarles is for the most part run like a small private school, with attention to each child, good leadership on the principal level, etc. The only issue I had with the school is that the teacher performance is a little all over the place. It is very evident that Ms. Makowski is the best they have to offer, and many of the other teachers fall short. But having said that, my child did receive a good pre-school and kindergarten start here--although First grade is not so good.

My son is a 1st grader at Quarles and loving every minute of it! Last year in kindergarten his teacher Ms. Makowski was the most awesome he has ever had especially with her mini moma exhibit for her students, she did a great deal with my son, he scored 99% on his terra nova testing and now reads at a grade 3 level when tested this past month by the literacy coach Mrs. Widensky. My hat goes off to both women and I would never be able to thank Ms Makowsi enough for the amazing start she has given my son in life, he loves school so much even when it may get a little tough! Very Satisfied Parent!

I had my reservations prior to enrolling my daughter at Quarles, but I find the atmosphere to be happy and pleasant. I think the principal MS Sullivan is great, and I have no complaints with the teachers.Great communication all around. My issue is with the parents and the lack of involvement in their children's education. The percentage in my daughters class of kids not bringing in what they are supposed to is too high. As a parent you need to be a part of the educational process. A teacher can't do it, nor should they have to do it, by themselves

This school takes every kid's academic performance and personal behavior to heart. Ms. Sullivan is one of the best Principal I have had dealings with in the past seven years that I have kids in the Public school system. If there is a problem, you can be sure that Ms. Sullivan will be the first person you will hear it from. She goes all out to make her students have a healthy learning experience. I would recommend this school to anyone!

This is the worst school I've ever seen. There is no discipline policy in place. The quality of communication between teachers and parents is extremely poor. I regret wasting a year of my child's life in this place!
