I really wonder how the bad reviews about this school have magically disappeared and good reviews pop up just during the admission time!!! You'll have nothing but disappointment if you enroll your kid there.
our son is almost a year at Apple M. He is happy and he is learning overthere. The teachers and staff are very care and nice we our little boy. The only thing we wish fast track is included on pricing for full time students, also the catering service was a little bit more afordable .
I have 2 children (twins) currently enrolled in AMS rt 27. This is our first year there and it was definitely a process trying to decide where to send them. AMS was the last school we looked at. Last year we met with Mrs Tisdale on a late morning visit. My husband and I were so impressed that we were at the school for 40 minutes and did not hear any children crying or screaming. All we heard was kids busy doing their "work." Every other school we had looked at seemed chaotic in comparison. I am a COMPLETLEY paranoid mom and do not trust people easily around my children but the school, the grounds, the teachers, and the assistants I met that day just made me feel as if my children already belonged there. It is amazing to see the growth and the independence exhibited since September. Unlike a traditional school my kids may not come home with something tangible like the letter of the week but their mental and social growth is very evident. They are in separate classes and it's amazing to witness how they both are growing in their own way. Mrs Peterson and Mrs Bhiro always make time to speak with me and really make me feel like my boys are special. Most important is my boys LOVE them!
I can't believe there were actually positive reviews for this place. If you look at the dates, it's obvious someone (like the owner) wrote them. Don't choose this school if you want a loving, caring environment.
I have two kids in this school for two years and it is a wonderful place, staffed and managed exceptionally well. The teachers are excellent, compassionate, understanding and provide a nurturing environment for kids. They go to great extents to make it fun for the kids and each of them is never hesitant to be involved with the kids. It has a good retention rate of teachers, and their communication with parents is very good. I absolutely recommend this if you find it affordable.
Apple montessori school is one of the best schools for 2.5-6 year old inthe area IF and only if your kid goes full day! My son has been studying in this school for the past 2 years. He is very happy with the school and loves his teachers and friends there. That said, the school only caters to full day kids with both parents working and those willing to pay the extra $$$ for fasttrack and the other extras that they conduct as part of their after school programs. The half a day kids are engaged only for an hour in the morning and then they are 'day cared' for the rest of the day along with 30 other kids with 3 teen girls to look after them, where the bored kids often get physical with their peers. Dont be surprised with the numerous bruises on your kid..And when reported, the school staff dont take responsibility for their lack of attention , make you feel that your kid is the only problem in their school and suggest that you enroll him for the full day program. So if you are planning for a half- day preschool for your kid, Plz look elsewhere!
We all want the best for our kids. I will say that the best thing I did for my kids is to enroll them into AMS. The teachers and administrators are so wonderful,as they are always willing to talk to you and answer any questions you may have. AMS provides my son with such academically high learning that I can't thank them enough. It was so surprizing to me of the negative reviews i have read. My Oldest son has been attending AMS for almost 3 years and he is very happy here and I love the school as well. The only thing i do wish is that Fast Track would be included within the tuition..
Our son has attended Apple Montessori School since he was 18 months old and is now 3 years old. When we listen to what he has to say every day, it is easy to see all that he is learning - and it's much more than just how to read, write and do math! We have seen that Apple Montessori has helped him to develop as a whole person including development of his independence, focus, self-control, and independent thinking. I recently found the following on the internet as I was reading more about Maria Montessori's methods and we have seen the same in our son (even at age 3): On the Barbara Walters ABC-TV Special "The 10 Most Fascinating People Of 2004" Larry Page and Sergey Brin, founders of the popular Internet search engine Google.com, credited their years as Montessori students as a major factor behind their success. When Barbara Walters asked if the fact that their parents were college professors was a factor behind their success, they said no, that it was their going to a Montessori school where they learned to be self-directed and self-starters. They said that Montessori education allowed them to learn to think for themselves and gave them freedom to pursue their own interests.
By reading this review I had to search the dictionary for a different meaning for the word "worst". Apple montissori school in Edison is the BEST!!!!
When I first called to inquire about Apple Montessori in Edison, I was concerned with the tuition cost. HOWEVER, after visiting the school I fell in love with the atmosphere, teachers, AND administrators. Since my husband is a public school teacher, I initially had to convince him to go visit as Montessori was not a teaching style he would have considered.. ......Two + years later, one of our children graduated kindergarten and the other is a Pre-K. My husband thanks me for opening his eyes to a different educational style that has provided a foundation for both of our children unlike anything we could find anywhere else. I cannot say enough positive comments about all that this school has provided my children and my family. IT IS WORTH THE PRICE!! Fast Tracks is an additional cost; however, it provides a wonderful forum for children to explore concepts that they would not otherwise learn at such a young age. IThe only problem I have with the school is that it only goes up to Kindergarten!!!
