Wow, this schoo is like prison for little kids, it's just that they happen to learn to color while there. their only snacks are are bread and water, oh sorry crackers and water. Parents are not allowed to send snacks. Kids look depressed wether the are outside in the playground or inside the class. I have seen one children hitting eachother on several occassion while the teacher's aid is supposed to be watcing them outside in the only playground. And heaven forbid that a child doesn't listen the first time around, the assistant teachers, LITERALLY, scowls at them. They find the self-confidence the child comes in with and squash it with what they call firmness and supposed discipline. NO THANKS apple montessori. I love my child much too much to keep him here.

I am currently looking for another school to send my child. It has been nothing but disappointing result. Teachers don't know your child b/c either that's what the montessori program is about - letting your child do your own montessori game or just not interested. Hardly ever felt that these teachers have sincere passion for teaching by mere look on their faces or attitude. Also, they definitely take a token of appreciation by parents for granted. Just one look at the kids, you can sense how indifferent and unhappy many are. Learned it a hard way.

I have two kids in Apple and couldn't be happier. Both kids are thriving academically and come home talking about how much fun they have. The teachers are caring yet firm and the environment is one of fostering independence. It's a great place and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Institution could not accommodate the needs of the amount of students it enrolls. Kids younger than 4 are not advised to enroll, unless they have long attention span and can sit there for long periods of time. No in-door gym to accommodate days that kids can't go on the playground. Materials are old and does not have a lot of variety. Will not help with toilet train. Will not communicate with parents regarding progress issues till they boot your child out, with 2 week notice after, 6 weeks of observation. Not a traditional Montessori program, transitionaling into a day care.

I have two children in Apple. My eldest has thrived as both a younger child and now as an older one helping the younger ones. She is far ahead academically than students from nearby schools. It fosters her academically while accommodating her personality and interests. I love the school. The management is disorganized and opinionated. They preach too much in their admissions materials. But my children love it.

The class sizes are very large with 35+ children, 1 head teacher and 2-3 assistant teachers in not-so-big classrooms. I think they maintain some acceptable teacher to student ratio but the classrooms always look incredibly crowded to me.

Both my child and other children in my family and neighborhood have attended this school. The positives are a variety of educational techniques that really work, organized classrooms and schedules and a culturally diverse student body. The negatives are disorganized and unfriendly administration and a lack of attention to physical and outdoor activities. The school accept children from age 2 but is really more appropriate for children 4 and older. My observation: Most children flourish academically, but don't necessarily have a lot of fun.
