The school is moving down a new path and I commend the staff.
This school has gone through some tough criticism over the past few months, surrounded by a barrage of confusion and controversy, but it is time for a fresh start to a curriculum that had gone stagnant. Now known as International Building Blocks Montessori, the school is starting over with a wonderful new head teacher, new Montessori geared approaches and new staff members. As an extra addition to our curriculum, we have incorporated some traditional school practices to allow an easier transition when the time comes for students to move on. The school has always had an excellent track record of producing wonderful artwork, computer instruction, physical activity through dance, gymnastics, and use of the outdoor playground. Many fun school trips are scheduled throughout the year and we are happy to announce our first back to school night so that we can encourage parent involvement and a better understanding of Montessori theory.
Small school, dedicated and caring teachers, accomodating hours for working parents, overall very happy with the school. Small playground though, not a lot of room.
