My children were in this school(Bergenfield)for several years, overall I thought the curriculum was great, they learned a lot and were ahead of the game as they say, but certain teachers were hard to deal with, disciplining the kids too harshly and frequently with timeouts. When the director was told about the incidents(mine and other children)she chose to play it down and make excuses for the teachers in certain instances even after investigating fully. Making the child and parent think that the teacher meant well when in reality this one teacher is not appropriate for the job. These incidents though were few and for the most part my kids were happy. The director cares for the children genuinely and worries about their safety, well-being and success. The price keeps on going up which is a big turnoff but in this area that is to be expected.
