I went to this school for two years and I was very sad to go. I loved the teachers and the students alike. everyone was very friendly and kind as well as supportive. Their sign-language class was very good and I still use it to this day.
My son just started his second year at St. James today! The class size is small, the teachers and staff are WONDERFUL, the structure keeps it fun - they offer such a variety of things in a short (2 1/2 hours) of school time which includes play time, music, reading books, writing, arts & crafts, learning letters, numbers, weather, days of the week, etc. It's a great program! The only thing not accurate about the description is that this is NOT a religious based school. It is in the same building that the Boys & Girls Club is in; it used to be an Episcopalian church, but wasn't affiliated with it.
My son started going to St, James this year, He missed the sign up for our towns preschool and we needed to get him in, They took him in even though it was a little late, they were very helpful with getting all our paperwork., The teachers and Director are great with the kids, My son loves going to school and learning, They have a great mix of play, music, arts and crafts as well as learning, not too much playtime and not too much structure,They are also very accommodating to children that have specific needs. The information on this preschool says religious but I haven't really found that they are. The Monthly Tuition is very reasonable, as well as the extra after school daycare program, if you need it is more affordable than most other daycare's or babysitters. I only wish we would have started Preschool last year as well, so My son could have had two years here instead of just one.
My daughter loves everything about this school! She cannot wait to go and is disappointed when it is not a school day! The staff is wonderful and I am so glad that I chose St. James as my daughters preschool! Lisa Lowell
