We spent almost 8 years at Little Lamb Nursery. Our children both started at 4 months and stayed until they went off to Kindergarten. Little Lamb provided them with a safe, loving, caring and nurturing environment to thrive and grow. They treated them as if they were members of their own family. The teachers were always willing to work with us through the years as we had questions or concerns about our children's development. They provided a solid educational foundation which set our children up for great success and a seamless transition into grade school. We had a wonderful experience with Little Lamb and would recommend them to families seeking childcare in the Dover area. The staff left a lasting impact on our children. They speak fondly of their time there and of their teachers.

My family has to relocate due to my husband's job and I am quite concerned about our children having to leave Little Lamb daycare. Our daughter has be going there since she was 8 weeks old and is now a lively 4 year old who is very attached to her friends, teachers and all of her animal friends. She has enjoyed the personal bond with her teachers that you can't get in a large center. When we knew we were having another child, we reserved a spot for it immediately to make sure they would have a spot for him. Like his sister, he has thrived in the small home based environment that Little Lamb provides. I can only hope to find a small, home based day care provider in our new location that will fill make our children feel as loved, protected and challenged as they have at Little Lamb Daycare.

I have had three children attend Little Lamb nursery over the last 15 years. I have always been delighted with the care and educational experiences they have each received. My children have felt like a part of Little Lambs family since they started, as have my husband and myself. We even have extended family who all know the staff and owner very well. My oldest was enrolled in another center before Little Lamb and the care he received was horrific. I'm so happy my , now much older, children where able to learn in such a loving environment. Very pleased parent

I had my daughter go to Little Lam b from when she was 18 months. At first the teachers were very caring and attentive. After a month I saw that the dogs were in the kids sleeping area. The curriculum was not challenging and above all the owners are the worst. Have you had any daycare where the owner does not even participate in the Christmas party? 3 weeks of vacation per year for which you have to pay for! And when I gave my 30 day written notice, the owner said it was 30 business days of notice not 30 calendar days. Atrocious is the word! Also there were 2 incidents, first my daughter had 3 stones in her mouth one day when she came home from school. No wonder she wudnt talk to me in the car. Second, one day when I went to pick her up she was in the bathroom all by herself and the teachers dint know where she was. She heard my voice and started crying and calling me. Poor kid was terrified sitting in the dark. The owner's response was, may be some child turned the lights off by mistake. So careless. Dont ever put your child in this daycare. Thanks! A very concerned mom!
All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness,
which includes important information like contact details and test scores.
It’s up to the school community to take the next steps.
As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families
by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers.
As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs,
and more with an Official school profile.
The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL
as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo,
and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
