Dover Children's Center

Previous review was based on a one time, short visit. My husband and I spent months looking for a daycare provider. We interviewed parents, staff members and administration prior to making unannounced visits to the facility. We observed the staff and the children on several occasions at different times of the day prior to making our decision. Our son has been well cared for and enjoys the center. He is clean, well fed and educationally stimulated....(just a few examples)

This is 1 school Idecided to tour before ultimately making the decision 2put my son in a different daycare.Im glad I did not sign him up for this place. When I went in 4 a tour,the kids were running andscreaming.Skipping around the "cafeteria" area with absolutely no self control.There were open containers of food + bags of opened bread while flies were traveling around theroom. I was first given tour the infant room, where I walked in + almost stepped on the tiniest baby I've ever seen.I could not believe she was just put on the floor next to the doorway. She was the only infant in there (Gee, I wonder why?) and there were no educational/mentally stimulating toys for her to play with-only a few bright colored baby toys. Next room went into was for older children,which smelled like P. This place is not clean at all.Do not expect to walk into an educational, bright colored, stimulating center.The children in the room I went in were having"nap time"+was still VERY LOUD.I honestly have no idea how theywere sleeping through allthe noise from the other children.As soon as I left thecenter, It was a breath of fresh air (literally). If you are smart, you will not send your children here.
