Our son was born premature and we had to keep him away from germs and other kids until he was two years old. We were just looking for a place to socialize him once he had overcome most obstacles. We wanted a clean, low teacher:student ratio and were disappointed in most places we saw. Shenker was the only school that met our needs. Three years later, our son goes three full days, we're keeping him here for kindergarten, and our daughter (2) is going there as well. All our friends who have brought there kids here based on our recommendation are so grateful. None of my other friends whose kids go to other schools have the results Shenker gives our kids. It's the best school for professionalism, cleanliness, small numbers, and overall positive environment.

Both of my children went to Shenker Academy and we were very pleased with the school. The administration is also very helpful. It all comes down to the teacher being a good fit for your child at any school. Thank you Shenker Academy.

My son attended the Shenker Academy for 2 years and we eventually sent him to another school because of the horrible treatment of the teachers. The teachers barely made minimum wage and did not receive health insurance. Because they literally couldn't afford to miss work they would come to work ill, possibly passing on their sickness to the children. I also saw the student/teacher ratio go over what was advertised numerous times. I think the real bottom line at this school is to make as much money as possible and the children come second, the employees seemed to come last.

I am enrolling my children for a second full year at Shenker. I am amazed at the negative review below. There is nothing that has not been addressed when my husband and I grilled the administration and the teachers with regards to caring for my children. I have been pleased with the amazing amount of resources this school has to educate our children in a loving, engaging and creative environment. On top of that the safety and cleanliness of this FULL DAY pre-school surpasses every other early childhood center I visited. I saw them all!. I believe that wherever we send our children we need to find a way to communicate our needs and concerns on a regular basis while demanding that attention is paid to our family's NEEDS. The administration has never made me feel that my questions and concerns were an annoyance and they were NEVER unable to accommodate my family. I absolutely love this school. I am from the east coast where a waiting list is the norm for pre school. A school such as this would have a year long list in any other major city. I thank my stars that las vegas is lucky enough to have the teachers, board of directors, admin and lovely students for my family to enjoy!

My children have had the best quality care and early childhood education from the staff at the Shenker Academy. They have set the bar. When we moved I had such high expectations of other childcare facilities I was afraid I wouldn't find a comparison. The staff is caring and the tuition reasonable. Small class sizes ensure that each child will receive quality care and advanced learning opportunity. I wish they would open another school across town.

It is unfortunate when a school looses sight of what should be age-appropriate expectations of its students. Some of the teachers are wonderfully competent and there are many others who simply lack the proper background, training & experience to properly lead a class, as well as allow for these little children to be individuals. Also, the communication is nothing but poor between teachers to parents, as well as the administration to parents. You really must take it upon yourself to actively seek out how your child is performing. Daily notes were taken away this year simply because the teachers were "too busy." Email is not used. A very archaic printed monthly newsletter is used. You will find that certain teachers' classes are very chaotic even with their boasted small ratios. In this last year, nearly every parent I know has had some incident with the teaacher and/or the administration, where the staff has completely overreacted to situations involving 18 month, 2-year, 3-year and 4-year olds. Please do your research carefully and speak with other parents first.

Love love love this school. Both my boys have attended/ currently attend this school. Love the teachers and the administration (which has been the same since we started in 2007). Very supportive and nurturing environment for kids to grow.

My daughter started at 18mos. and from the very beginning she enjoyed going to school. The enviroment is age appropriate for her development and she enjoys all activities they do. The teachers and staff are very nurturing and professional. My husband is in the military so we hope to stay here long enough for my daughter to go up to Kinder here.

We have 2 boys enrolled at Shenker. We are happy with the teachers. The administration keeps changing, and that is a bit unnerving as no one will give you a straight answer as to why. But the teachers are the ones who are with the kids, and we just love their teachers.
