This school has seen better days. With the new director, don't expect it to be what it used to be years ago. Teachers have quit and alumni families have left and enrolled their children elsewhere. Sad because it used to be such a great little school.
Small classes and really reasonable price. Runs on a parent-coop which means you have built in accountability and built-in involvement in your child's pre-school experience. They are the 'leader' on the day you volunteer....usually once a month. Loved the Christian atmosphere and chapel for the 4/5 year olds. It's like a small town...you'll love it! We sent all 3 children there and our last is there now.
I love this school. My son started at 4yrs old. It feels like a community with parents volunteering as the teachers aids you get to know each kid and their parents. My son loved his teacher! Small class size was very important to me, there were only 10 kids in his class! I can't wait for my 3yr old to start in the fall.
it is a very loving environment. My daughter loves her teacher and cant wait for preschool every day. I love the fact that they welcome alot of parent involvement.
I can't say enough about the caring teachers at Christ the Servant. Small class sizes are the key. I only wish they had classes 1st through 12th!
Christ the Servant Lutheran School is a small co-op preschool and kindergarten in Henderson, NV. It is hard to get in to because the classes are small and it has such a great reputation. There are 8-10 children in the 3-4 year old classes and 12 children in the kindergartens. The school is a co-op which means you are required to volunteer 1-2 days a month. The teachers are excellent and very caring. The curriculum is age appropriate, teaching the kids to cut and paste and paint, as well as numbers and letters, colors and shapes. Because the classes are so small, in no time at all the children have formed a tight, cohesive unit that works well together and are close friends. I highly recommend this school but if you aren't a member of the church, be prepared to camp out the night before to get in.
