Most of the teachers are college students and there is a lot of turnover and substitute teachers. The staff is friendly on the tours, but the administrative staff is never there before 8am or after 5pm so it is difficult to voice concerns. Our child was sick nearly every other week and had numerous visits to the doctors office. She has had only one cold since we left over a year ago. I would not recommend this facility. The one plus is that they give you an update paper every day telling you when your child napped, ate, and got a diaper change. They were good about that.

Both of my children were basically raised at Southwood. They have a few amazing teachers that have been there for years but a fairly high turnover rate, due to low wages. The kids get tons of time outside and a loose curriculum with lots of art and music. My daughter was reading before kindergarten, the pre-k teacher is awesome! It is not a perfect center, but the staff truly cares for the children.
