Greenwood Academy

There are a few exceptional staff members, particularly the kindergarten teachers. They activities are engaging and fun...my kids love it. There is quite a bit of unorganization, though, that I think affects how well they can do things. Also, there are a few staff members who are not particularly nice. My husband showed up early and caught one of the teachers yelling at our son, who was crying for a typical 5-year-old reason. Instead of calming the situation down, she escalated it. She simply walked away when my husband asked her not to talk, not yell at, the kids. I've also seen the infant caregivers being grouchy and even a little scary. This is unfortunate, because we love our children's main teachers, but are considering finding new childcare because of a few. I've heard this from other people, too. A little $$ too.

Read the contract thoroughly. I was charged $550 for 3 days that my child attended. This company requires a 3 week notice even if your child is sick. Shame on them and there business!!

I have had my grandchildren come here, and I was very impressed. They do triple the space per child of any other place, and run a very academic program. Very caring staff. I would recommend this school to anyone!
